Budgeting for People Who Hate Budgeting

Everything you need to know about building and implementing a budget--one you'll actually stick to!

Welcome to Budgeting for People Who Hate Budgeting!

Now, I don’t hate budgeting per se, but you should know one very important thing about me: I am not a fan of traditional budgeting systems.

It sounds crazy coming from a financial coach, but I don’t track all my expenses in a mega-spreadsheet. I don’t use budgeting apps. I don’t even revisit my budget more than once per month.

What I use instead is the Young Scrappy Budgeting System, which I’ve developed over the last couple years in response to my own needs and experiences, as well as those of my clients.

In this course, I’ll teach you how to build a budget that you’ll actually stick to—one that requires a bit of work on the front end, but then mostly takes care of itself once it’s set up.

No more tracking, no more apps, no more recategorizing your personal expenses. Just an easy-to-use system that’s designed to show you how much money you can spend freely.

Sound good? I thought so.

Once your budget is in place, you will be astounded at how much easier it is to manage your money, pay down debt, save for the things that are important to you, and spend on the things that actually bring you joy. It’s hard work, but work that is most certainly worth doing.

No matter your current skill level, our step-by-step course will give you the tools and resources you need to build a budget... one that you'll ACTUALLY stick to!

This course is divided into five sections, containing 20 videos, as well as a 50+ page workbook containing templates, video notes, and exercises, and other bonuses.

Together, we’ll cover the following topics:

1. Why traditional budgeting systems often fail (spoilers: it’s all about human psychology!)

2. How to get your spending data all in one place.

3. How to turn your basic numbers into an actionable budget, including how to calculate your “weekly allowance” of spending money.

4. How to use your bank account in order to make the budget stick and avoid common budgeting pitfalls.

5. How to maintain your budget on an ongoing basis, in as little as an hour per month.
